Why Learn WordPress?

WordPress is hot! It’s been getting even hotter since WordPress won the best Open Source CMS Award in 2009. It is not just a blog publishing Web application any more;it is a full-fledged CMS.

According to W3Techs Web Technology Surveys:

75.2% of the websites use none of the content management systems that we monitor.
WordPress is used by 13.7% of all the websites, that is a content management system market share of 55.2%

 

Using the words from Wikipedia: “WordPress is used by more than 18.9% of the top 10 million websites as of August 2013.[5].”  It means more than  1,890,000 websites are run on WordPress. In short,  more than  1.89 millions Top WordPress websites is using this wonderful dynamic publishing system, which is open source, free of charge, but need  WordPress developers or users to set up, enrich and maintain.

If you know WordPress well, you may be needed by many websites owners to help them. There is a big market for WordPress themes, plugin, and experienced developers and users.
